As you suspect, the answer to ‘how much time” it takes to train is ‘it depends,’ but as an example base training hours might be 40-80 hours of time.
Nebulous LLC training programs are catered to the participants. The process for determining the amount of time on each subject starts with scoring starting knowledge of each, and a level-of-interest score is included to weight the training times for each topic. Of course, the learning style makes a difference, so this is discussed and at least retention questions (verbally) at the end of each session. Progress of topics discussed is tracked on a training sheet as they are completed. Absent from Nebulous LLC training is learning how to use software tools required, since they are expensive and not freely available.

Viewing them is helpful, but the 2-hour sessions which also included open conversations about electrical design, installations, and procurement processes might not be readily apparent compared to those who attended.
